Fleeting moments with loved ones are often those that incline the heart to swell and realize in full what it is, how it is, to love that person. Something they do or say or the way they raise the corner of their mouths that is so particularly Them that you cannot help but love them as you do. Those tiny moments of overcoming care are those I intend to honor in these works.
Artist’s statement
My works center representations of intimacy in all of its impactful forms. Particularly the more fleeting moments, when one realizes the full capacity of their love for another, within a passing gesture or a half smile. All of my work is of my loved ones, chosen family + blood alike. To be intimate and vulnerable are such transformative and whole aspects of this existence, enabling us to connect with others and with ourselves in further depth.
