Tia Whitfield, co-Founder

Hi! I’m Tia Whitfield, co-founder of SunKissed – a platform that amplifies the voices and works of BIPOC women filmmakers, poets, artists, journalists, and photographers.
I have always been passionate about storytelling and art, but I noticed a significant lack of representation for BIPOC women in these industries. I wanted to change this narrative and create a space that celebrates and supports BIPOC women creators.
As a BIPOC woman myself, I know firsthand the challenges and barriers that we face in these industries. There are often fewer opportunities and resources available to us, and we are not always valued or recognized for our contributions. This is why I co-founded SunKissed – to provide a platform that uplifts and empowers BIPOC women creators.
At SunKissed, we are dedicated to promoting diverse stories and perspectives, and to creating a more inclusive art community. Our platform provides a space for BIPOC women creators to showcase their work, connect with others in their fields, and access resources to help them grow their careers and achieve their artistic goals.
For me, SunKissed is not just a business, but a personal mission. I want to see more representation and recognition for BIPOC women creators, and I believe that SunKissed can help make that happen. By amplifying their voices and works, we can inspire future generations of BIPOC women creators and bring more diversity and richness to the art world.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about SunKissed and our mission. Together, we can make a difference and create a more inclusive and equitable world for all.
