EXODUS is my seminal vignette that chronicles the horrors of self-actualization.

Exploring themes of Maronage, Queerness, and Black Liberation, “PARADISE” is my debut visual mixtape that aims to explore a world where Black women and Queer folks have created their own maroon society—one intended to incubate their brilliance and provide safety from the white supremacist violence that consumes the status quo. When a group of vigilantes burns down her family’s home, the young Queer protagonist undergoes a story arc characterized by triumph, loss, and self-actualization—all told through the multi-disciplinary use of visual art, music, and prose. I am currently producing and directing the music video for “Dirty Girl,” the project’s debut original song that serves as a political commentary illustrating a subculture of Black Queer girls and femmes who are resisting martyrdom under cisheteropatriarchy.
